"art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable."                                             -banksy

Aside from visual art, I'm super passionate about art in the musical sense. I used to want to be a rock star when I was little--I still do--and I still sing and perform at school every chance I get. I'm not picky about music genre--as long as a song makes me feel emotions, I like it. Check out the Cantus page for more.

Horses...It all started out with that one Disney Pixar movie, Spirit. Next thing I know, I'm riding trail horses every Saturday with my mom and little sister. This gradually turned into learning from professionals and training hard to reach my goals.

Writing is also one of my passions. I'm almost never not formulating some kind of scene or new character in my head. I take inspiration from every aspect of my life. As of right now, I'm actively working on about five separate stories, and I switch between them depending on my mood or what's happening in my life. One of my goals in life is to publish at least one book.

Lastly, I find comfort in doing some kind of casual activism. It is nothing like what real political activists do; like the people that go out and make public speeches and the journalists who risk their lives, but as an African American/Filipina girl, I feel it is my responsibility to use the resources available to me to do this to the best of my abilities. I usually focus on racial injustice in America, but I also try to teach others about issues regarding our LGBTQ+ brothers and sisters, breaking gender stereotypes, reminding people about important pieces of history that aren't taught in school, awareness for the injustices committed against the Natives of this land, climate change awareness, and more.  Check out my website, Slave Descendant, to see how I use my art as a vehicle for change.
